Antioxidants are compounds that prevent cell damage through oxidation. These compounds help in neutralizing free radicals.

Free radicals are highly reactive and unstable molecules produced by cigarette smoke, toxic chemicals, excess sunlight and even our body’s own metabolic processes.

These molecules can cause the mutation of proteins, membrances ane even our own DNA, leading to cancer and other degenerative diseases like heart disease and cataract.

Antioxidants obtained from plant sources have been proven to “anti-oxidize” free radicals and prevent their destructive effect on the body.
